With the wonderful memories we all carry from the wildly successful 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, what better way motivate your employees than to have them participate in a series of fun indoor challenges that will simulate the Games experience albeit in a low-tech environment?
Teams meet and design a team flag and cheer before we begin the formal aspect to the afternoon.
The Winter Sports Challenge officially begins with the teams assembling for the Opening Ceremonies. A stirring anthem is played as they march into the "stadium" (hotel ballroom, convention centre meeting space, office common area, offsite facility) proudly displaying their team flags. A "representative of the IOC" will greet all assembled, introduce senior management, (allowing time for a welcome speech) and then provide the orientation. Following that, one representative from each team will proceed to the centre of the "stadium" to take the athletes’ oath. After this, the teams will be given their instruction manuals that will outline, in detail, the challenges and their respective point systems. They will have fifteen minutes to study the manual and plot their strategies. The day will culminate with the Closing Ceremonies. The gold, silver and bronze medal teams will be piped to the awards stage to be presented with their medals.
Challenges will include from the following: snowshoe shuffle, jumbo winter sports jigsaw puzzle, carpet broomball, “kurling”, snowball bocce, hockey slap-shot, slalom roller skating, Olympic quiz, snowball toss, giant ski relay and Inukshuk building. These challenges do not require the prowess of our Olympians but will prove to be just as much fun for the participants. Looking to include some high-tech winter sports games as well? We can include Wii games such as giant slalom skiing and ski jumping.
The Winter Sports Challenge Program is flexible. The program will be designed to fit the venue space, the time allotted for team building, the desired goals of our client, the number of participants (24 is the suggested minimum) and, of course, the budget. Cost is based on the guaranteed number of participants. Minimum spends will apply.
Not included in the cost per person will be the medals for the gold, silver and bronze team members. Flip Events can arrange for the medals at an additional cost. The cost for the venue space to be used is the responsibility of the corporate client.
